In Tandala, Congo this week, AFCA started nine families affected by AIDS (one not here) towards the path towards self-reliance. They already received three days of training, a water filter, solar lamp, gardening tools, and now seeds for their gardens. Soon, when they have built their animal housing and we have deemed it good, they will each receive three pregnant goats so they can grow their own herds. Three years of follow ups, trainings, more seeds, animal vaccinations, and loads of love will change their lives forever. The man at the end, with red pants, is Denase. He is the site supervisor, making sure the families are doing well and lends a helping hand and a load of training when needed.
