This is a late post showing some of the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette. The loss of power and water throughout the city created long lines for water, food, and gas (to fuel generators). Sadly, the city was plagued by fires after the storm as people tried burning what they could to boil water, cook food, and get rid of debris. 23 large fires were reported around the city in the 15 days after the storm, including one just down the street from our Shelter (the Children's Shelter of Cebu). Fortunately, two months on since landfall, the city is getting back onto its feet. www.purehapaness.com @Children's Shelter of Cebu
