I'm old enough to remember life before the Internet. Before mobile phones. And I'm sure glad I am. Back in those days, as I drove cross-country either stateside or in Mexico, I'd listen to local radio stations as I passed through all those big cities and small towns. Though I seldom even stopped, I felt like I had been there. Like I had visited and connected with each of those communities. Because I heard the Cajun French station in Louisiana through the static. And that first Spanish station as I approached Texas. The classic country music. The regional accents. Comedy bits. Serious conversations. And the news at the top of the hour. I was on an adventure. Far from home and often alone. And yet never lonely. #AdamAsher
