Sophie, our project manager volunteer, travelled to Uganda with her family and was able to visit the women of @Edirisa UK with whom we are working on an empowerment project through beekeeping. @Edirisa UK has been a partner of Give a Hand since 2012, and together we have been able to set in motion several projects that have had a significant impact for the communities surrounding Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda near Kisoro and Kabale. The organization focuses on women's empowerment, school access for children, access to drinking water and healthcare.
