Last month, our Community Health team visited the commune of Sarisambo, southeast Madagascar to complete the latest round of our Emergency Food Distribution Programme and get an update on the progress being made on our ongoing school construction project there. During our visit, we had the opportunity to sit down with Sarisambo’s Secretary General, Monja (pictured), to get his feedback on how our multi-programme approach was addressing the communities’ needs. 🗣️ "We are so happy with what has been done in Sarisambo… the positive impact on malnourished children… we have seen results especially with the percentage of pregnant women seeking family planning services at the hospital… there is the Tatirano building to provide clean water, and latrines for the patients that go to the health centre… also there is the building of the new Middle School… many organisations have supported here but SEED Madagascar have been one of a kind… we hope that the collaboration between Sarisambo and SEED continues.” We base our approach on partnership, co-management, and skill-sharing with individuals, communities, local organisations, and governments, striving for a cross-department, holistic approach that fights against poverty eradication, suffering and environmental damage… we’re delighted to hear that it’s having an impact! 🧡🇲🇬
