This year’s World Water Day (tomorrow) is all about speeding up efforts to solve the water and sanitation crisis and achieve SDG6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. With this is mind, we wanted to celebrate the work of our friends and close working partners at Tatirano Social Enterprise. Tatirano, meaning “to collect water” in Malagasy, aims to provide long term access to clean water for everyone in Madagascar by installing rainwater harvesting systems in schools, hospitals and at homes in communities. We install Tatirano rainwater tanks in all of our school construction projects, ensuring that the students have regular access to clean drinking water when learning, and in-turn contributing towards efforts to reduce child school absenteeism in the Anosy region of Madagascar. The image below was taken at one of our recent school builds in the rural village of Esohihy 🔨 Happy World Water Day everyone! 💧
