Project Stitch was our longest running Sustainable Livelihoods initiative, training women in the rural village of Sainte Luce with embroidery and business skills. Now an independent co-operative, Project Stitch has given financial independence to women in the area, reducing reliance on the limited fishing income often reserved solely for males within the household. A recent feature in The Guardian newspaper saw sales of the hand stitched bags, purses and other accessories jump almost 2000%, generating income for the women that can help with food, education and health access costs! 🤍❤️💚 🇲🇬
